Mr. William Maykut is an 85 year old man who drove himself to the Emergency Room today. He reports to the triage nurse that he is feeling very tired and is having some trouble breathing. He attributes this to having not had a good night's sleep in the last 4 days because of his need to sleep upright, and he wonders if he has pneumonia since he is coughing quite a bit.
