To develop an approach to the assessment and initial management of patients presenting with lesions suspicious for skin cancer (e.e. actinic keratosis, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, melanoma).
To demonstrate an understanding of the risk factors for the development of cancers and a culturally competent approach to counselling patients on preventative measures (e.g. sunscreen and sun protection).
To apply an approach to use of common dermatology procedures with lesions suspicious for skin cancer (e.g. punch biopsy, shave biopsy, excisional biopsy, curettage and electrodessication).
To recognize the presentation of skin cancer in patients with different skin tones
