Monica (she/her) is a 27 year-old cis-gendered female who presents with new lymphadenopathy and concern for Sexually Transmitted Blood Borne Infection (STBBI) to ER.

Activity Objectives
- To practice an inclusive and detailed sexual history using the 5P’s of Harm Reduction Approach.
- To practice a lymph node exam on an SP, and discuss an approach to a female pelvic exam in the context of concern for STI.
- To practice using likelihood ratios from the JAMA Rational Clinical Exam Article Does this adult patient have early HIV? to formulate a post-test probability of early HIV in this case.
- To discuss an approach to initial screening for Sexually Transmitted and Blood Borne Infections (STBBI), including obtaining consent for HIV testing.
- To discuss a differential diagnosis for generalized lymphadenopathy.
- To discuss initial next steps for an HIV diagnosis, including contact tracing for past partners, the criminalization of HIV non-disclosure in Canada, and referral for treatment.
