Large Group Session
Spine and pelvis. Identify components of, and differentiate between vertebrae at different spinal levels. Identify spinal ligaments and joints of the spine, recognizing consequences of injury. Identify bony and ligamentous aspects of the pelvis. Spinal Cord Meninges. Observe the location of a spinal cord in situ, identify level of conus medularis. Identify the three meninges of the spinal cord. Compare/Contrast epidural vs spinal needle placement. Body Wall Musculature. Define compartments/regions in the body wall. Recognize the common action, innervation and blood supply of compartments. Identify major muscles within each compartment.
