Differentiate inflammatory and degenerative arthropathy. Myopathy, arthropathy, neuropathy are central concepts which need to be understood. Identify extra articular manifestations that points toward a more specific disease process. Degenerative versus inflammatory. Identify constitutional symptoms which may be a result of another primary illness as a cause of rheumatism. Define type of neuropathy. Malignant versus mechanical back pain. Extra-articular manifestations to focus in on type of illness.
