Activity
Large Group Session
Diabetes is common, increasing rapidly, and easily diagnosed with appropriate screening. It is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Treatment includes glycemic control and management of risk factors such as hypertension and dyslipidemia to reduce microvascular and macrovascular complications. Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes is possible and a cure is not yet available, although research is in progress.
